Now I'm going to show how to setup the LDAP in your NSX-T Manager
In order to login to NSX-T Web UI with your domain account we need to setup the LDAP
Steps:
- Login to the NSX-T Manager
- Go to System > User Management > LDAP > Click Add Identity Source
Input the values Name\Domain FQDN\Select Type AD over LDAP\Base DN > Click “set”
- Click Add LDAP Server
- Insert values LDAP Server Name\Select Protocol LDAP\Port 389\Your Bind Identity User ID and Password > Click Add
- Now Click Apply
- Now you successfully setup the LDAP in your NSX-T Manager (Make sure Connection Status is "Success")
After LDAP is setup. Now you need to add the Domain Group or User to have access in your NSX-T Manager.
Note: Process to assign Role for both AD Group and User are the same (Use the Steps Below)
Steps:
- Now you need to Add the AD Group or User
- Go to System > User Management > Click User Role Assignment > Select Role Assignment for LDAP
- Dropdown Select Domain in my example I selected “DCSG-UAT” domain
- Drop down Select AD Group in my example I selected “FLATOSA_VC_Admins” and the Role is “Enterprise Admin” > Click Save to apply
- Now you added the AD group. We are expecting now that your AD account can login to the NSX-T Manager
- Browse the Web UI > Access the NSX-T https://NSX-T (Use IP or FQDN of your NSX-T Appliance)
- Key-in your domain user id and password > Click Login
- Now you can login to the NSX-T Manager using your Domain Credential
