Issue: We can't Power-Off or Stop the vApp, the VM server spinning Partially Powered off
Error:
Findings:
- Due to the runnign task VM server can't power-on
Note: If Cancel option doesn't work check the backend ( Stop the running task )
If above conditions not work's please follow below Steps:
Check the logs on Cell:
- As per below logs the task is in locked state
- In this case we need to restart the Cell service to clear the lock state and complete the task
To Restart Cell Service:
- Login to vCD Cell where the task is running and restart the service
- Run this command "service vmware-vcd restart"
- Make sure all service status OK after the restart as per below screen capture
- After restarting the Cell Service you can see now the VM server is Power-On or you can Power-On the VM manually
